Professor Shamnad Basheer

At the Intellectual Property Scholars Conference this morning, I just heard the sad news that Professor Shamnad Basheer has died.  He was a professor at the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, and the founder of the SpicyIP Blog.  Over the years I have noted some of his articles and posts on injunctions and other issues.  Here is a link to his Wikipedia page, which states that he died in an automobile accident; here is a link to an announcement of his death on Bar & Bench; and here is a link to his page on SpicyIP.  My condolences to his family and colleagues.
